Pure 1940s
Yes, they made a zillion of these but it is still enjoyable. The last credited screen appearance for Miss Evalyn Knapp and her next to last film. Also the twilight of the career of Miss Compson. New faces always pushed out the more experienced ladies.

Don't listen to the palooka before me here.
This is a pretty good story though it is about newly wed reporter and his bride, but has a few twists. The acting isn't at all bland and the story not bad at all. I found it quite enjoyable even if somewhat predictable at times. I'd watch it again if there wasn't about 900 others here to watch first.

Same old newly wed newspaper reporter, fifth columnists, getting the scoop 1940's kind of stuff.
If there's nothing else to do you could watch this.
The acting is very flat and writing is very bland.
